It’s unfortunate that we live in a time where, unless you have a doctorate, you can’t possibly know anything about your own body.
My parents generation was so adamant that doctors know everything that a lot of them ended up on prescription drugs that did more harm than good and made a few people very, very rich.
But I’m not here to discuss the politics of pharmaceuticals (we’d need another entire blog for that).
What I do want to speak at is the fact that you, and only you, know what’s going on with your body.
Obviously some women are more in tune with their bodies than others but I think, for the most part, we know when something is different or wrong.
You are probably wondering where I am going with this after my post yesterday.
And you would be right!
As of this morning, we are officially pregnant again!
It’s faint but it is most certainly there!
I’ve already sent off my request to the midwives collective and I hope to get the chance to call the doctor today as well.
Is it weird that I feel like I can’t be overly excited?
It’s difficult to be ecstatic when there’s a looming sense of what could happen.
Am I scared to have a miscarriage again?
Am I being as positive as I can and sending good vibes towards that little chia seed?
In summation, if you are wondering whether it’s possible to get pregnant the month after a miscarriage, you absolutely can!
Make sure you are emotionally ready to try again though.
And if you’re up to it, say a little prayer for me and the little chia seed!
We want this one to stick!
Any words of advice for us as we embark on this journey again?
